Cindy Kennaugh
I am a creator, deeply fulfilled by the process of making. My work draws inspiration from both natural and human-made designs, yet it is light’s interaction with these designs that moves me most. Light filtering through a redwood forest, shimmering across a river’s surface, glinting off a skyscraper, or casting vibrant shadows through glass—all of these moments ignite my artistic vision. Through fused glass, I shape and sculpt light, creating works that invite viewers to appreciate not only the art itself but also the journey that light takes through the glass. My craft is made possible through thoughtful design, temperatures of near 1,500 degrees, and a portfolio of tools—kilns, grinders, polishers, saws, sandblasters, and more. My work is defined by the dynamic interplay between glass and light, a relationship that shapes both my process and my artistic identity.
